About goose
goose is a general-purpose AI agent that runs on your machine for research, writing, automation, data analysis, coding, and other workflows. It is available as a native desktop app for macOS, Linux, and Windows, as well as a CLI and API.
The agent connects to 70+ extensions for databases, APIs, browsers, GitHub, Google Drive, and more through the Model Context Protocol. It supports 15+ model providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Ollama, OpenRouter, Azure, and Bedrock, along with selected Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini subscriptions.
goose includes portable YAML recipes, parallel subagents, interactive MCP Apps, and security features such as prompt injection detection, tool permissions, sandbox mode, and an adversary reviewer. It is open source and part of the Agentic AI Foundation at the Linux Foundation.
