About Figma Make

Figma Make helps designers and product teams turn ideas into interactive prototypes and web apps using prompts, design context, and code. Projects can start from scratch or use an existing codebase and design assets.

Built outputs are code-backed and visually editable, allowing users to move between code and Figma’s canvas. Users can attach Figma frames, PDFs, images, videos, audio, and text files, and connect external tools through MCP connectors.

Figma Make is available on the web. Local codebase support is listed as beta, while using Make locally to build in any codebase and ship to production is marked as coming soon.

Highlights

  • Generate prototypes from prompts and design context
  • Edit code-backed projects visually on the canvas
  • Attach designs and files to guide generation
  • Use Make kits, npm packages, custom skills, and MCP connectors
  • Plan builds and collect feedback with comments

Replaced two other subscriptions with this. The integration story is what sold me: it fits into the tools I already use instead of asking me to move.

Been using it daily for a month. It genuinely changed how I work: I describe the feature, review the diff, ship. The occasional wrong turn is easy to catch because it explains its plan first.

The output quality is top-tier. My only complaint is speed: on bigger tasks you're waiting a while. Good time to grab coffee, I guess.
