About OpenCode

OpenCode is an open-source coding agent that helps developers write code in the terminal, IDE, or desktop app. It supports macOS, Windows, and Linux, with a desktop beta available.

The agent can use free included models or connect to models from more than 75 providers, including Claude, GPT, Gemini, local models, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT Plus or Pro accounts. It also supports multiple sessions, LSPs, shareable session links, and IDE extensions.

OpenCode states that it does not store users' code or context data. It can be installed with curl, npm, bun, brew, or paru, and its source code is available on GitHub.

free, open, runs any model, lives in my terminal. i switched from a $200 plan to this + a local qwen and honestly the only thing i miss is the speed. worth it.
