About Letta
Letta is an open-source framework and hosted platform for agents that keep state and memory across sessions. It grew out of the MemGPT research project.
What it does
- Agents with editable, persistent memory blocks instead of stateless chat loops
- Agent Development Environment (ADE) to inspect context, memory, and tool calls
- REST API and SDKs; self-host the open-source server or use Letta Cloud
- Model-agnostic: plug in the LLM provider of your choice
