Gemini is my second brain for Google Docs and Sheets. Deep Research reports are surprisingly usable for competitive scans. Context window eats big PDFs without choking.

About Google Gemini
Google Gemini is a personal AI assistant available through the Gemini web app. Users can sign in to save activity and interact with Gemini through conversations.
The interface includes Flash-Lite, Google app integrations, and a dictation option. Google notes that Gemini can make mistakes and that its Terms and Privacy Policy apply.
Highlights
- Web-based AI assistant
- Conversational interface
- Flash-Lite option
- Google apps integration
- Dictation support
NotebookLM + Gemini combo is unfair for meeting notes and paper digests. Standalone chat still hallucinates dates sometimes. Advanced mode is worth enabling for long context.
Best when I am already in Gmail/Drive. Outside Google land it feels less sticky than ChatGPT. Image and video tools keep improving; free tier is generous for students on my team.
Fast and multimodal, but tone can be generic. I use it for summarizing Drive folders and drafting slides, then polish elsewhere. Not my coding agent.
