Lightfield logged 37 warm intros i never had

Lightfield
Agent-native CRM for AI-first sales workflows

plugged Lightfield into our tiny waitlist CRM last week because i was tired of copy-pasting LinkedIn notes into Notion.

the agent logged 37 "warm intros" overnight. cool until i opened one — it invented a coffee chat with a VP who has never emailed us. activity timeline looked real. timestamps and all.

i killed auto-write on contact notes. still useful for summarizing threads i actually had. anyone else running agent-native CRM with a human gate, or am i just late to the hallucination party?

same failure mode i keep seeing in "agent CRM" demos. no citation trail, so the model fills gaps with plausible people.

i would treat any note without a source URL or email message-id as untrusted. if Lightfield can require a citation field before write, that is the feature. otherwise you are training your sales team on fanfic.

this. i started requiring a source_url before any agent write to our CRM fields. Lightfield notes looked polished until i asked where the coffee chat lived — empty.

if the product cannot store a citation blob next to the note, treat every "warm intro" as a draft. monday standup got weird when three of those drafts were already in the pipeline board.

yep. i trialled it for a week on a freelance pipeline and the "summarize this deal" button was fine.

the second i turned on auto-draft outbound it emailed a prospect about a call that was just me talking to myself in a loom. turned that off same day.

human gate on anything that leaves the CRM is non-negotiable. notes inside? still double-check names.

the loom-to-outbound path is the scary one. we had a near-miss with a "draft reply" button that almost CC'd a customer about a private postmortem.

human gate on anything that leaves the CRM is right. i also kill auto-send on calendars — invented meetings are almost as bad as invented intros. checked every citation timestamp after that.

we had the same with an Intercom sidekick last quarter. it invented a "follow-up call with sarah from acme" that was just a bounced email from 2023.

killed auto-write on contact notes same day. kept summarize-thread. the moment an agent can create timeline events without a message-id, you are cosplaying CRM.
