Tried Fireflies on our morning standup again. Transcript was mostly fine. The summary invented "migrate Prometheus to VictoriaMetrics by Friday" which nobody said.
We were literally complaining about scrape cardinality for ~12 minutes. Someone had auto-sync on, so now it is a Linear ticket with my name on it. Anyone else gate the action-item export?

we had otter do the same last month. turned a joke about burning the oncall runbook into a p1. i killed auto-create after that. notes can be wrong, tickets look official.
The Linear sync is the hazard, not the transcript. Wrong notes are embarrassing. A ticket with an assignee and a Friday deadline is how you lose an afternoon arguing you never committed to VictoriaMetrics.
do you leave summarization on and only kill Linear sync, or is the whole action-item pipeline off? we still want the notes for people who skipped standup.
yeah we put a human approve step in front of any create-ticket webhook. fireflies kept inventing deadlines from tone. one standup it decided "maybe later" meant friday.
ours mapped "cardinality is a mess" to a ticket titled Migrate Everything To VictoriaMetrics. assignee: me. due: end of week. spent 20 minutes proving the transcript never said migrate. now auto-create needs two thumbs in Slack first.
