Fathom invented three action items from a meeting where we decided nothing
Had a 22-minute Zoom standup yesterday. Nobody committed to anything except "look at the staging flake later."
Fathom summary showed up with three action items, two of them assigned to me, one to a designer who wasn't even on the call. One item literally said "ship the auth rewrite by Friday" — we do not have an auth rewrite.
I spent 15 minutes scrubbing the notes before anyone else opened Slack. Still free, still useful for the transcript… until it starts freelancing. Anyone else turning off auto-share for this reason?

yep. ours auto-posted to #eng and suddenly i owned "finish rag eval harness" which was just someone thinking out loud. turned off auto-share after the second time. transcript is fine, the todo inventing is not.
We had the same thing on a client call Tuesday. Fathom wrote "Jake to send revised SOW by EOD" — I had said "maybe we revisit scope next week." Closed the invented Linear ticket in like 40 seconds.
Keeping the recording + turning off the Slack bot fixed 90% of it. The notes are still useful if you treat them as a draft, not truth.
