OpenAI's Decisions API enters public beta, charging only for input at $0.10 per 1M tokens
Released in beta on Oct 6, POST /v1/decisions runs only on gpt-6-luna and turns text or images into typed answers (a 0-to-1 predicate probability, a choice from your fixed options, or a score against ordered levels) about 10x faster than the Responses API, with no charge for output or cache tokens. Images must be inline base64 data URLs, not hosted links or file IDs, and OpenAI expects GA in the coming weeks, so it's a cheap fit for routing, classification, or gating an agent's next step.
