NVIDIA open-sources Boro, a Rust CLI for local AI-assisted Linux kernel patch validation

Presented at Linux Plumbers 2026 this week, Boro uses local models to validate kernel backports and build, boot, and test patches, with remote OpenAI-compatible servers or Claude, OpenCode, and Codex as alternative back-ends. It's Apache 2.0 at NVIDIA/boro on GitHub, and its lead wants to fold some of it into Google's Sashiko review bot.

It's AGPL, self hosted, listed in the official MCP registry as io.github.zalaso/sharebox , and very new (zero GitHub stars at time of writing)…
