Laminar's flow-1 finds hidden failures in agent traces at about $0.001 per trace

The RL-trained model treats a trace like a repo, grepping spans to catch quiet errors such as an agent marking work done while tests still fail, and on Laminar's own 523-trace benchmark it edges GPT-6 Sol on detection F1 (.835 vs .816) at 23x lower cost, though Claude Opus 5 still scores higher (.890). Laminar's observability platform is Apache 2.0 and self-hostable, and flow-1 runs in its Signals agent at $0.05/$0.30 per million input/output tokens (benchmark).

Fade lets you keep talking to one agent in your terminal while a second Builder agent writes the code

Built on the Pi harness, Fade runs a conversational companion and a Builder side by side so you can plan or line up tasks mid build, and it only marks work "checked" after committing the change and re running the Builder's own test or command proofs itself. It's an early, self described rough v0.5 (MIT, Node 22.19+, works with any Pi provider including Ollama), commits straight to your current branch, and has a no key npx @muzaffermahi/fade demo to try first…

Devin Fusion with an Opus 5.5 lead and GPT-6 Luna sidekick edges Muse Code for #1 on the AA Coding Agent Index

The pairing scores 68.1 on Artificial Analysis's Coding Agent Index v1.5 (DeepSWE 72.6, Terminal Bench 4 62.1, SWE Atlas QnA 69.6) at $9.01 and about 55 minutes per task, effectively tied with Muse Code on Muse Wonder Full at 68.0. Cognition says that's 31% cheaper per task than Claude Code with Opus 5.5, a vendor claim, and you can try it now in Devin CLI and Desktop (Cognition)…

Report: Anthropic, Google (Gemini 4 Carbon), and OpenAI (a cheaper Terra model) all have new models in the pipeline

Per The Information, Anthropic is testing a model that infers your real goal from thin instructions (one tester says it traces a single bug to the broader problem and offers a fuller fix), Google is readying Gemini 4 Carbon above last week's Argon, and OpenAI may ship a new Terra model within weeks that beats GPT 6.1 Sol on price. None of it is announced yet, so treat names and timing as unconfirmed…

Microsoft Foundry's browser automation tool goes GA, with Live View, take control, and an MCP endpoint

Foundry agents now get a managed cloud browser (via Playwright Workspaces, provisioned as a separate Azure resource) that can reach public sites and private VNet apps, exposed to prompt or hosted agents through a toolbox's MCP compatible endpoint. Operators can watch sessions live, take over mid run, and require approval before clicks, typing, or uploads, which you enable only when a task needs them…
