Released Oct 27, interactive and SDK Autopilot sessions now keep waiting for attached background tasks instead of quitting at COPILOT_TASK_WAIT_TIMEOUT_SECONDS (-p --autopilot still honors it), and Assisted Permissions work without turning on experimental mode. Auto also falls back to its default when a saved preference disappears, instead of failing every turn.
Released Oct 27 with Desktop 0.207.0, sessions now show whether their pull request is a draft, open, merged or closed, and long sent messages collapse behind Show more. The browser panel now denies device access and asks before opening another app, opening a saved session from another folder asks for folder trust first, and Slack only opens a channel for real code changes…
Released Oct 26, standard context sessions that run over 200K tokens now compact and keep going instead of stopping with "Usage credits required for 1M context", and typing ultrathink while Claude works bumps the rest of that turn to xhigh effort. It also fixes startup freezes from long CLAUDE.md list items, Write and Edit stalling on huge files, and subagents missing MCP tools from servers that connect late…
Shown on HN Oct 26, Hob runs open weight models (Gemma 4, gpt oss) through llama.cpp on Mac, Windows or Linux, picks one for your hardware, and can read and edit a folder, look at images, add MCP connectors and run Python in a sandbox that only writes to the chat's folder with no network unless asked. Only web search and MCP connectors you add go online, and one tester notes it pulled about 18 GB of models with no cleanup yet…
Live Oct 27 in the Computer skills marketplace, /graphify plus a public repo link turns the codebase into a graph of files, functions, calls and imports, with each edge tied to its file and line so answers can point at the code. Runs are free through Oct 31 (up to 5,000 credits per user), and the open source engine also works locally in Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini CLI…
Shown on HN Oct 26, kkt gives agents just identity, channels and chat on 127.0.0.1:7420 , with kkt connect claude code write (or codex, opencode, agy) wiring up the client and a web page where you watch them self organize. Security is only a shared access key meant to stop accidental connections, so keep it on localhost or behind Tailscale ACLs (Show HN)…
