Codex Cloud quietly relaunches and can now reach your private services over Tailscale

Codex lead Tibo confirmed on Oct 8 that OpenAI "silently re-shipped" Codex Cloud, which is rolling out to Plus and higher and ships with Tailscale as its only VPN option, so cloud tasks can hit internal APIs and test services on your tailnet over HTTP/HTTPS (or TCP via proxy:8088). Tailscale says it wasn't involved and recommends a tagged, reusable, ephemeral auth key plus tight grants, since by default Codex can reach nearly everything on your tailnet.

OutSystems Agent Experience goes GA, letting Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Kiro build on its platform

Announced Oct 8 at OutSystems World Tour Las Vegas, your coding agent shapes the app's architecture while OutSystems generates the code deterministically and enforces existing dependencies, data relationships, testing, and governance, with deploys to public cloud, private cloud, on prem, or hybrid. Early access law firm Lowenstein Sandler says it built a production litigation matter tracker with Claude Code in under three hours…

Cline Cloud Agents run parallel tasks in cloud sandboxes from your browser and open PRs on your repo

Announced Oct 7, you connect GitHub, pick a repo in the new Agents tab, and each task gets its own cloud container where Cline writes code, tests it, and opens a PR, so you can hand off a fix, a refactor, and a feature at once and check in from your phone. It works with any model, including free options like DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, or ClinePass for open weights models at roughly 5x discounted access…

Microsoft Execution Containers go GA so coding agents only touch the files and hosts you allow

Announced Oct 7, MXC takes one JSON policy (writable and read only paths, network, desktop access) and enforces it outside the agent with AppContainer on Windows, Seatbelt on macOS, or Bubblewrap on Linux, plus Windows only session and WSL containers and an experimental microVM. Copilot, Codex, Replit, OpenClaw, and LM Studio already support it with Claude Code listed as coming, and a Learning mode logs what an agent tried to reach so you can write a least privilege policy…

Claude Max and Team plans now include $100 to $500 a month in API credits, but not for Claude Code

Announced Oct 7, Max 5x gets $100 and Max 20x gets $200 a month, while Team gets $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat, pooled and capped at $500, once you link a Claude Console organization in billing. The credits cover the Claude API, Managed Agents, the Agent SDK, and the playground (not Claude Code or Bedrock/Vertex), and they expire each billing cycle with no rollover…

Claude Code 2.1.293 stops Claude redoing finished work after compaction and plugs an HTTP MCP memory leak

Released Oct 7, the update fixes Claude treating its last pre compaction actions as unfinished and retracting or redoing them, fixes HTTP MCP connections holding every sent request until they closed, and now loads path scoped rules and nested CLAUDE.md files when Claude reads a file via cat , head , or grep in Bash. It also makes Haiku 5.5 the default Haiku on the Anthropic API and adds agentType to the subagent status line payload…
